Cerianthus 38 mt is a beginner-friendly dive site on the Cyclops Coast near Catania, named after the elegant tube anemones (cerianthus) that populate the sandy seabed. Despite the name suggesting 38 meters, the site offers interesting diving at shallower depths where these graceful creatures extend their tentacles from their tubes. The surrounding volcanic rock hosts typical Mediterranean reef life — wrasse, damselfish, and octopus are commonly spotted. The Ionian Sea's warm waters and good visibility make this a pleasant dive for those wanting to discover the unique marine life of Sicily's volcanic coast.
