
Ricci Matita is a beginner-friendly dive on the Cyclops Coast near Catania, named after the distinctive pencil urchins that inhabit this volcanic reef. The basalt seabed features low rocky outcrops and scattered boulders hosting typical Mediterranean species. Sea urchins of various species, starfish, and nudibranchs are the macro highlights, while wrasse, damselfish, and salema provide constant animation. The shallow, protected site is perfect for discover scuba experiences and training dives, with Sicily's warm Ionian waters making it comfortable year-round.
