Secchitello is an advanced to expert dive off Ustica island, featuring a deep seamount that descends to 55 meters — one of the island's most demanding and rewarding deep dives. The pinnacle's walls host pristine deep-water ecosystems with black coral, massive gorgonian fans, and rare deep-water sponges. At depth, the marine reserve's protection ensures encounters with large pelagic species rarely seen on shallower dives. Technical diving preparation is recommended for the deepest sections. Secchitello represents the pinnacle of Mediterranean deep diving within one of Italy's most ecologically significant marine reserves.
