Tempesta is an advanced freshwater dive in Lake Garda near Riva del Garda, named after the turbulent weather patterns that can affect this northern end of the lake. Underwater, the site features a steep rocky slope descending rapidly into the abyss, with large boulders and rock slabs creating dramatic terrain. The cold, deep waters below the thermocline harbor alpine char and other cold-water species. Excellent visibility in the upper layers contrasts with the darker depths below. A challenging but rewarding dive that reveals Lake Garda's impressive underwater topography and alpine character.
