Lighthouse is an advanced dive site near Koh Rong Samloem, Cambodia, named for a navigation marker near this deep reef that plunges to 45 meters — one of the deepest recreational dive sites in the Sihanoukville area. The dramatic wall descent passes through different marine habitats at each depth band: shallow coral gardens give way to gorgonian-covered walls in the mid-range, and the deeper sections feature large sea fans, black coral trees, and barrel sponges of impressive size. The depth attracts larger marine life — barracuda schools, cobia, and occasional reef sharks patrol the blue water beyond the wall. The deeper sections can reveal unusual species not found on shallower sites, including rare nudibranchs and deep-water crustaceans. The advanced rating reflects the depth, potential currents, and decompression considerations. Lighthouse is Cambodia's answer to serious wall diving, offering experienced divers a vertical odyssey from tropical reef to deep-water habitat.
