L'Ahrax Point is an advanced dive site on Malta's northeastern tip, where a dramatic headland creates deep wall and reef diving in the exposed waters of the Comino Channel. This remote point offers some of Malta's most adventurous reef diving, with the exposed position bringing potential for larger marine encounters. The underwater terrain features limestone walls dropping steeply into the Comino Channel, with boulder fields and overhangs at various depths. The headland's exposed position means current can be strong, particularly during tidal changes, creating challenging but productive diving conditions. Marine life at L'Ahrax benefits from the current-swept environment. Groupers of notable size inhabit the deeper overhangs, while amberjack and barracuda patrol the wall edge. The exposed position increases the likelihood of encounters with pelagic species passing through the channel between Malta and Comino. The advanced rating reflects the significant depth, strong currents, and exposed position. Only experienced divers should attempt this site, and conditions must be carefully assessed. Visibility frequently exceeds 30 metres. L'Ahrax Point delivers Malta's most adventurous northeastern diving.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
