Sirens Bay is a beginner-friendly shore dive on Malta's northwest coast, where a sheltered bay provides calm, clear conditions for novice divers and relaxed explorations. Named for the mythological sirens, the bay's beauty certainly has a captivating quality that lives up to the legendary association. The reef extends from the bay's rocky sides, with a gentle slope over mixed terrain of rock, sand, and Posidonia seagrass. The sheltered position means conditions are reliably calm, and the easy shore access makes it convenient for training dives and casual afternoon explorations. Marine life includes typical Mediterranean reef species in good numbers. Wrasses, damselfish, bream, and blennies animate the reef, while octopuses and cuttlefish provide memorable encounters. The seagrass beds add habitat diversity and may harbour seahorses. Visibility typically exceeds 20 metres. Water temperatures from 15 to 26 degrees. Sirens Bay is a charming beginner dive on Malta's scenic northwest coast.
