Porteau Cove Provincial Park in British Columbia is an advanced dive reaching 34 meters in Howe Sound, one of the most popular dive destinations in Western Canada. The park features purposely sunk vessels and reef structures creating an extensive artificial reef system. A sunken minesweeper and other vessels at various depths provide habitat for giant Pacific octopus, lingcod, rockfish, and wolf eels. The kelp-fringed shoreline gives way to dramatic depth drops where cloud sponges can be found. The provincial park status ensures protected marine life and excellent facilities including hot showers and changing rooms. A must-dive destination for Pacific Northwest diving enthusiasts.
