Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver, British Columbia, is Canada's first voluntarily designated marine protected area and one of the Pacific Northwest's most popular dive sites. The park's rocky underwater terrain features stunning cold-water marine life including giant Pacific octopus, wolf eels, lingcod, and rockfish of numerous species. Dense forests of bull kelp create a dramatic underwater landscape, while the rocky walls host colourful anemones, sea stars, and nudibranchs. The sheltered cove provides calm conditions most of the year, making this an accessible and rewarding dive for all levels. The marine protected status ensures exceptional biodiversity and healthy populations of Pacific species.
