Cativo is an advanced dive to 27 meters in the Golfo Dulce area on Costa Rica's southern Pacific coast. This site features a rocky reef system within the sheltered waters of one of only four tropical fjords in the world. The unique oceanographic conditions of Golfo Dulce support remarkable biodiversity, with the reef hosting large schools of snappers, groupers, and barracuda. Hammerhead sharks and bull sharks patrol the deeper waters, while whale sharks visit seasonally. The warm, nutrient-rich fjord waters create conditions found almost nowhere else, making Cativo a truly unique dive experience on Costa Rica's Pacific coast.
