The Lighthouse is a beginner-friendly dive at Caño Island Biological Reserve off Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula. Located near the island's lighthouse, this site features a sloping rocky reef that descends gently from the shallows, making it perfect for less experienced divers. The reef is populated with diverse Pacific marine life including pufferfish, trumpetfish, and schools of grunts, while white-tip reef sharks are regular inhabitants of the sandy areas below. Sea turtles are frequently spotted cruising along the reef edge. The easy access, reliable marine life, and beautiful volcanic rock formations make The Lighthouse an excellent introductory dive to Caño Island's rich underwater ecosystem.
