El Cabezo de las Isabelitas is an advanced dive at Isla de la Juventud in Cuba's Punta Francés National Marine Park. This offshore reef head rises from deeper water, creating a prominent underwater formation that attracts large marine life. The reef is covered with massive barrel sponges, sea fans, and healthy hard coral colonies, while strong currents bring schools of jacks, barracuda, and occasional reef sharks. The deeper sections host black coral and large groupers sheltering in overhangs. The exposed position and current make this a challenging dive, but the exceptional reef health and biodiversity of Cuba's protected waters make it a rewarding experience for advanced divers.
