Tunel del Amor

Túnel del Amor (Tunnel of Love) is an advanced dive at Isla de la Juventud in Cuba. This romantic-sounding site features a long underwater tunnel carved through the reef, where divers swim through a narrow coral-lined passage before emerging onto a pristine outer reef wall. The tunnel interior is decorated with sponges, tube corals, and small gorgonians, while glassy sweepers and cardinalfish school in the darker sections. Beyond the tunnel, the reef wall drops away with large sea fans, black coral, and patrolling barracuda and jacks. The confined passage requires advanced buoyancy control and proper training, but the dramatic swim-through experience makes Túnel del Amor one of Punta Francés's most iconic dive sites.
