Las Cuevas de Bebo (Bebo's Caves) is a beginner-friendly dive at MarÃa la Gorda on Cuba's Guanahacabibes Peninsula. This site features a series of shallow overhangs and small cave formations in the reef wall, named after a local fisherman. The cave ceilings are covered with colorful sponges and encrusting corals, while nurse sharks, lobsters, and large groupers shelter in the shaded recesses. The surrounding reef hosts vibrant coral gardens with schools of grunts, snappers, and French angelfish. The shallow depth and easy cave access make Las Cuevas de Bebo an exciting but safe introduction to cavern-style diving in Cuba's pristine western waters.
