
Ladra Cachorro is an intermediate dive to 22 meters off São Vicente island in Cape Verde. This volcanic reef site features rugged terrain with boulders, channels, and swim-throughs carved by Atlantic wave action. The site is named for its playful marine encounters, with curious groupers and moray eels often approaching divers. Schools of Atlantic species swirl around the volcanic formations, while the deeper sections host large black groupers and stingrays resting on sandy patches. The moderate depth and occasional current provide an engaging intermediate dive experience in Cape Verde's unique mid-Atlantic marine environment.
