Sucenáqua is a beginner-friendly dive to 16 meters off São Vicente island in Cape Verde. This coastal reef site features volcanic rock formations creating a diverse underwater habitat with small caves, ledges, and sandy patches. The warm Atlantic waters support a mix of tropical and temperate species including parrotfish, groupers, and large schools of Atlantic damselfish. Octopuses are commonly found in the rocky crevices, and sea turtles occasionally visit the site. The moderate depth and generally calm conditions make Sucenáqua an accessible dive for exploring Cape Verde's unique cross-Atlantic marine ecosystem.
