Ponta Canjana is an intermediate dive to 19 meters off São Vicente island in Cape Verde. This volcanic headland features a sloping reef with interesting rock formations, caves, and overhangs that provide habitat for diverse Atlantic marine life. The site is particularly known for its large resident octopus population and frequent green turtle sightings. Schools of Atlantic damselfish and wrasses populate the rocky reef, while the deeper sections attract groupers and barracuda. Moderate currents keep the water clear and bring nutrients that support healthy marine growth. Ponta Canjana offers a well-balanced intermediate dive with reliable marine encounters.
