St Georges Island is an advanced dive site in northern Cyprus, plunging to impressive depths of 40 meters. This remote rocky island offers dramatic wall diving with sheer drop-offs covered in sponges, soft corals, and gorgonian fans. The deep blue waters around the island attract pelagic visitors including tuna, amberjack, and large barracuda. At depth, divers may encounter groupers sheltering under massive boulder overhangs. The exposed location means currents can be strong and unpredictable, making this a dive for experienced practitioners only. The reward is pristine underwater scenery largely untouched by human activity.
