Dorniermole is a beginner-friendly freshwater dive site on Lake Constance (Bodensee) near Friedrichshafen, Germany. Named after the historic Dornier aviation pier, this shore dive offers convenient access to the lake's diverse underwater world. The gentle slope features a pebbly bottom transitioning to silt at greater depths, with patches of aquatic vegetation providing cover for fish. Perch, pike, burbot, and whitefish are commonly seen, along with the lake's signature crayfish. Visibility varies but is often good, particularly in autumn and winter. The site's proximity to Friedrichshafen's waterfront makes it easily accessible, and the gentle conditions are well-suited to beginners exploring Lake Constance diving for the first time.
