Krebsgarten is a beginner-friendly freshwater dive site on Lake Constance (Bodensee) in southern Germany. This popular shore dive features a gentle slope descending into the lake with a mix of pebble, sand, and muddy bottom. As the name suggests (Crayfish Garden), the site is known for its crayfish population, along with pike, perch, and various cyprinid species. Submerged logs and rock formations provide shelter for fish and make for interesting underwater exploration. Visibility varies seasonally but can be surprisingly good, especially in winter. The easy entry, gradual depth profile, and accessible location make Krebsgarten a favorite training site for dive schools around the Bodensee region.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
