
Bahía de Puerto López is a beginner-friendly shallow dive in the bay of Puerto López, Ecuador, reaching depths of about 8 meters. The sandy bottom dotted with rocky outcrops hosts an array of Pacific marine life including pufferfish, stingrays, and juvenile reef fish. The calm bay waters provide excellent conditions for new divers and night dives. During whale season, humpback whales can be spotted from the surface, making this a uniquely rewarding dive location along Ecuador's coast.
