La Playita - Punta King Kong

La Playita - Punta King Kong is a beginner-friendly dive site along Ecuador's Pacific coast near Puerto López. The rocky shoreline gives way to a gentle underwater slope with boulders encrusted in barnacles and algae. Schools of Pacific grunts and snappers gather around the rocks, while octopus and moray eels hide in the crevices. The site is easily accessible from shore and offers a good introduction to Ecuador's mainland Pacific diving, with seasonal visits from sea turtles and rays.
