Islotes - Salango

Islotes - Salango is an advanced dive site around the rocky islets off Salango in Ecuador's Machalilla National Park. Strong currents sweep between the islets, attracting large schools of Pacific jack mackerel, Galapagos sharks, and massive mobula rays. The volcanic rock walls plunge dramatically, covered in sea fans and black coral at depth. This is one of mainland Ecuador's most exhilarating dives, offering big animal encounters rivaling those of the Galápagos Islands.
