Bahía de Tijeretas is a beginner-friendly dive site in a sheltered bay on San Cristóbal Island, Galápagos, reaching 12 meters depth. Named after the frigatebirds nesting on the cliffs above, this protected cove offers crystal-clear waters and close encounters with playful sea lions. Marine iguanas graze on algae-covered rocks while Galápagos sea turtles glide past. The calm conditions and extraordinary wildlife make it one of the best introductory Galápagos dives, accessible directly from shore.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
