Roca Ballena is an intermediate dive site off San Cristóbal Island in the Galápagos, reaching 20 meters around a whale-shaped rock formation. The site's moderate currents bring nutrient-rich water supporting dense schools of black-striped salemas and Galápagos grunts. White-tip reef sharks patrol the deeper ledges while sea lions weave playfully through the schools of fish. The rock's unique shape and the concentration of marine life make it a photogenic and memorable dive on any San Cristóbal itinerary.
