Bajo de Cerro Mundo is a beginner-friendly dive site off San Cristóbal Island in the Galápagos, reaching 18 meters on a submerged volcanic formation. The rocky reef creates a gathering point for marine life, with green sea turtles resting on ledges and Galápagos sea lions swooping through the water column. Schools of razor surgeonfish and king angelfish add vibrant color to the volcanic backdrop. The moderate conditions and reliable wildlife encounters make it an excellent mid-morning dive on San Cristóbal day trips.
