La Calita is an intermediate dive site off La Herradura on Spain's Costa Tropical, reaching 30 meters depth. This small cove (calita) features a steep rocky reef descending from the shoreline into deeper Mediterranean waters, with diverse topography including walls, boulders, and sandy channels. The deeper sections reveal gorgonian fans and cup corals on the rock surfaces, while groupers and large moray eels inhabit the overhangs. Schools of barracuda and dentex patrol the open water, and octopuses are commonly spotted on the rocky reef. The site's depth range accommodates different experience levels in the shallows while offering exciting deep exploration for more advanced divers.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
