Las Calles is a beginner-friendly dive site near Tarifa in the Strait of Gibraltar, reaching 15 meters depth. Named 'the streets' for its network of narrow channels between parallel rock formations that resemble underwater alleyways, this site offers an engaging exploration experience. Divers navigate through the channels, discovering different marine communities in each section — moray eels in the overhangs, nudibranchs on the walls, and schools of bream in the open sections. The strait's mixing waters ensure excellent biodiversity with both Atlantic and Mediterranean species present. The sheltered channels provide protection from the strait's notorious currents, making this an accessible and entertaining dive.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
