Pecio San Andrés is an advanced wreck dive near Tarifa in the Strait of Gibraltar, featuring a sunken vessel resting at 30 meters depth. The wreck lies in the powerful currents of the strait, its structure now richly colonized by gorgonian fans, sponges, and soft corals that thrive in the nutrient-laden waters. Enormous conger eels and moray eels inhabit the wreck's compartments, while schools of amberjack and barracuda circle the superstructure. The strait's unique position as a crossroads between two seas means both Atlantic and Mediterranean species can be observed on a single dive. Extreme currents require expert timing with tidal windows and make this an elite-level diving experience.
