Marina Del Este is a beginner-friendly dive site at the Marina del Este harbor between La Herradura and Nerja on Spain's Costa Tropical, reaching 18 meters depth. The sheltered harbor and surrounding volcanic reef provide excellent conditions for all levels, with a gentle slope descending from the marina wall into deeper water. The rocky substrate hosts a rich Mediterranean community including moray eels, octopuses, nudibranchs, and schools of bream and wrasse. Cuttlefish are particularly common, and the occasional seahorse can be spotted in the calmer areas. The marina's easy access, protected waters, and proximity to multiple dive centers make it one of the most convenient dive sites on the Granada-Malaga coast.
