Mountain of Fishes is a remarkable dive site off the western coast of Tenerife, named for the extraordinary density of fish life that congregates around an underwater volcanic formation. This beginner-friendly site features a submerged ridge rising from the sandy bottom, creating a natural gathering point for massive schools of Atlantic fish. Divers are surrounded by swirling clouds of salema, bream, and damselfish, while trumpetfish and barracuda hunt along the edges. The formation's surface hosts anemones, sponges, and tube worms, with octopuses and moray eels in the crevices. The site's name perfectly describes the experience — an underwater mountain teeming with fish at every turn.
