Muelle de Garachico is an intermediate dive site at the historic harbor of Garachico on Tenerife's northwestern coast, reaching 22 meters depth. This atmospheric site combines maritime history with rich marine life, as the old harbor walls and volcanic rocks partially buried by the famous 1706 lava flow create a unique underwater landscape. The harbor structures are now colonized by sponges, anemones, and encrusting life, while groupers, moray eels, and schools of Atlantic fish inhabit the various recesses. The site's northern exposure occasionally brings stronger currents and swell, adding an element of challenge that suits intermediate divers. The above-water historic village adds cultural dimension to this special dive.
