Trumpet Fish Cave is an advanced cave dive site near Abades on Tenerife's southeastern coast, reaching 18 meters depth. Named for the trumpetfish that hover vertically near its entrance, this volcanic cavern features a wide opening leading into a spacious chamber with excellent natural light. The cave walls are decorated with sponges, encrusting bryozoans, and small cup corals, while shrimp and crabs inhabit the darker recesses. Outside, the surrounding reef is rich with Atlantic species including parrotfish, ornate wrasse, and green sea turtles that frequent the Abades marine area. Proper cave awareness and buoyancy control are essential for this atmospheric dive.
