River Taw is an advanced shallow wreck dive in Micronesia, where the remains of a vessel lie in just 12 metres of water. Despite the accessible depth, the site is rated advanced due to surge, currents, and limited visibility that can develop around the wreck. The shallow position means the wreck is well-illuminated by natural light, and coral colonization is prolific thanks to the sunlit conditions. Schools of tropical fish swarm the structure, and the sandy surroundings host stingrays and garden eels. The combination of easy depth with challenging conditions makes River Taw an interesting dive that demands respect despite its shallow profile.
