Conger Alley is a shore dive site on Loch Long in the Scottish Highlands, aptly named for the conger eels that inhabit the rocky crevices and overhangs along the loch wall. The site descends to 30 meters along a boulder-strewn slope with pockets of silt between the rocks. Beyond the namesake conger eels, divers encounter plumose anemones, dead men's fingers, starfish, and various crabs and lobsters. The intermediate rating makes it accessible to a wider range of divers compared to the deeper Loch Long sites. The sheltered conditions of the sea loch provide generally calm diving, though the cold Scottish waters (6-12°C) demand appropriate exposure protection year-round.
