Craggen is a shore dive on Loch Long in the Scottish Highlands, offering advanced divers a steep wall dive descending to 35 meters along the sea loch's dramatic underwater cliffs. The site features rich encrusting marine life on the rock faces including plumose anemones, dead men's fingers soft corals, and dense hydroid colonies. The deeper sections reveal langoustines, squat lobsters, and various crustaceans in the silty bottom. Kelp forests in the shallows give way to increasingly barren but atmospheric deep walls. Cold water temperatures year-round (6-12°C) require dry suits and proper thermal protection. Craggen is one of several quality shore dives along the western shore of Loch Long, popular with Scottish dive clubs.
