Anchor Point is a shore dive on the Argyll coast near Dunoon, offering intermediate-level diving along a sloping seabed descending to 30 meters in the sheltered waters of the Firth of Clyde. The site gets its name from old anchors and chain found on the seabed — remnants of the area's maritime past. The rocky terrain hosts typical Scottish west coast marine life: plumose anemones, dead men's fingers, starfish, sea urchins, and various crab species. Scallops and langoustines can be found in the deeper sandy sections. The Firth of Clyde's relatively sheltered conditions provide accessible diving compared to more exposed Scottish locations, making Anchor Point popular with Glasgow and Clyde-area dive clubs.
