Selsey Beach is a beginner-friendly shore dive on the West Sussex coast near Selsey Bill, the southernmost point of the Manhood Peninsula. The flat pebble and sand beach provides straightforward entry to a shallow seabed reaching around 6 meters depth. The rocky ledges and scattered boulders offshore host crabs, lobsters, blennies, and wrasse, while sandy areas reveal flatfish and occasionally rays. The site is popular with Chichester and West Sussex dive clubs for training dives and gentle recreational outings. Tidal planning is important as currents can develop around Selsey Bill. On calm days with favorable tides, Selsey offers a pleasant and productive shallow shore dive on the English Channel coast.
