Eden is a coral plateau inside the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin that lives up to the name for divers who visit. The top of the reef sits at around 12 metres, falling away gently to 25 metres on sand, and the whole structure is packed with moray eels of several species peering out from cable-sized holes, lionfish patrolling the deeper shelf, and groupers holding the overhangs. Because the site is inside the National Park, the coral is in measurably better condition than on less-protected reefs along the coast. Comfortable for Advanced Open Water divers, accessible for Open Water with good buoyancy.
