The Tombant du Grand Bleu is the most celebrated wall dive on the west coast of Grande-Terre. The face drops from 25 metres down well past 50 metres into blue water, carpeted in soft corals in every shade of pink, red and purple. Eagle rays pass on the outside regularly, groupers hold the larger ledges, and horse-eye jack schools move in and out of the blue on bright days. The site lies just off the main harbour entrance of Port-Louis. Advanced Open Water with Deep specialty is the honest baseline and Nitrox is strongly recommended.
