Le P58 is one of the technical deep sites off the Port-Louis offshore shelf, an engine wreck sitting on the sand at 58 metres that only divers with level 3 certification or equivalent should consider. The dive is short by recreational standards because the gas plan is unforgiving, but the deep-reef life at this depth rewards the preparation: captainfish, giant barrel sponges, and fauna that simply never shows up shallower. Trimix and appropriate stage bottles are the serious tool set, not a Nitrox afterthought. Only for divers who are properly qualified and current.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
