Arsida is a beginner-friendly dive site in the Attica region near the Saronic Gulf islands, south of Athens. This small rocky islet creates a protected diving area with gentle slopes and scattered reef formations. The underwater terrain features a mix of rock, sand, and Posidonia seagrass beds that support diverse Mediterranean marine life. Wrasse, damselfish, and sea bream are abundant, while octopus and cuttlefish shelter among the boulders. The sheltered position provides reliable calm conditions, and the clear Saronic waters offer good visibility. A convenient and pleasant dive site for Athens-based divers and a popular destination for weekend diving excursions from the capital.
