Arzentas Canyon is an advanced dive site in the Saronic Gulf near the Attica coast. This impressive underwater canyon cuts through the seabed, creating dramatic walls and narrow passages that plunge into deep blue water. The canyon walls are covered with dense gorgonian forests, colourful sponge colonies, and delicate hydroids. The confined canyon channels currents that attract pelagic species: amberjack and barracuda regularly sweep through, while groupers and moray eels inhabit the canyon walls. The depth and canyon topography require advanced buoyancy skills and proper gas planning. A dramatic and atmospheric dive that offers some of the best wall diving accessible from the Athens area.
