Avantis III is an advanced wreck dive in the Attica region of Greece, featuring the remains of a significant vessel resting at considerable depth. The wreck sits upright on the seabed, with much of its superstructure intact including the bridge, holds, and engine room, allowing for extensive penetration diving. The hull is covered in marine growth including sponges, hydroids, and sea fans, while large groupers, conger eels, and schools of anthias inhabit the structure. The depth demands proper gas planning and decompression awareness, and the dark interior spaces require powerful lights and wreck diving certification. A prestigious dive site for experienced wreck divers visiting the Athens area.
