Rescue Ship Mimis is an expert-level wreck dive in the Attica region, featuring the remains of a former rescue vessel lying at considerable depth. This deep wreck is a significant dive requiring technical certifications, staged decompression, and proper gas mixes. The ship rests on the seabed with its distinctive rescue vessel profile still recognizable. The hull and superstructure are heavily colonized by marine life including gorgonians, large sponge colonies, and dense hydroids. Inside, conger eels, lobsters, and schools of cardinal fish inhabit the dark compartments. The historical significance of the vessel as a rescue ship adds poignancy to the dive. Strictly for qualified technical wreck divers.
