Simos Wreck is a beginner-accessible wreck dive in the Attica region near Athens, featuring the remains of a small vessel at shallow depth. This compact wreck is ideal for divers making their first wreck exploration: the structure sits on a sandy bottom in clear water, with the main hull sections easily navigated without penetration. Marine life has colonized the wreck extensively, with sponges, anemones, and tunicates covering the metalwork. Damselfish, wrasse, and blennies dart around the structure, while octopus and moray eels hide in the crevices. The shallow depth allows long dive times for thorough exploration and photography. A welcoming introduction to wreck diving in the Athens area.
