Cathedral Cavern is an advanced cave dive in western Crete near Chania, reaching 16 meters within a magnificent underwater grotto. The cavern earns its name from its vaulted ceiling and the ethereal blue light that streams through the entrance, creating a cathedral-like atmosphere. Stalactites and stalagmites from the cave's aerial past remain preserved underwater, surrounded by delicate marine growth. The relatively shallow depth makes it accessible to advanced open water divers with cavern experience, offering one of Crete's most memorable and visually stunning underground dives.
