Fegamine is an intermediate dive site in the North Aegean that features a series of underwater rock formations and small reef walls creating an engaging topography. The site is named after a local geographic reference and offers a varied underwater landscape with overhangs, small caverns, and boulder fields. Mediterranean groupers, moray eels, and large scorpionfish occupy the sheltered areas, while schools of bream and barracuda patrol the open water. Sponge gardens in shades of orange and yellow cover the vertical surfaces, with nudibranch species adding splashes of colour. Moderate currents bring nutrients that support the healthy ecosystem. A satisfying dive for those seeking varied terrain and reliable marine encounters.
