Mourtzeflos Cape is an advanced dive site in the North Aegean where a prominent headland creates powerful current patterns and dramatic underwater terrain. The cape's submerged walls drop steeply into deep water, covered with dense gorgonian sea fan forests and colourful sponge colonies. The currents attract impressive pelagic species: large schools of amberjack, tuna, and barracuda are regular visitors, while deeper along the wall, Mediterranean groupers of significant size guard their caves. The exposed position means conditions can be challenging, with strong currents and limited shelter. Experienced divers are rewarded with some of the best pelagic encounters in the North Aegean. Boat access only.
