
Melissa's Reef is an advanced dive off Roatán reaching 30 meters, featuring a beautifully developed section of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef wall. The site is known for its exceptional sponge diversity, with azure vase sponges, giant barrel sponges, and rope sponges creating a colorful tapestry on the wall face. Hawksbill turtles are regular visitors, feeding on sponges along the wall, while spotted eagle rays glide past in the blue water. The reef crest features pristine hard coral formations with abundant Caribbean reef fish, making Melissa's Reef a well-rounded dive experience.
